Sr Officer-Home Installation & Infrastructure

The Senior Officer – Home Installation & Infrastructure is responsible for ensuring the successful installation, activation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of fiber optic and FTTH (Fiber-to-the-Home) networks. The role supports end-to-end customer connectivity by performing home installations, troubleshooting service issues, maintaining network infrastructure, and coordinating with internal teams and external vendors to ensure service quality and SLA achievement.

Key Responsibilities:

1.Home Installation

• Perform end-to-end internet and WiFi installations at customer premises.
• Install and configure fiber optic connections, including cable pulling to customer locations.
• Configure and activate modems, ONTs, routers, and IPTV services.
• Conduct connection testing and internet speed verification to ensure service quality.
• Provide basic education to customers on the use of WiFi equipment and internet services.
• Perform initial troubleshooting during installation and resolve basic technical issues.
• Ensure customers are successfully activated and connected to the network in accordance with company standards.

2.Infrastructure Management:

• Execute the development, expansion, and maintenance of FTTH and fiber optic infrastructure.
• Install and maintain network components, including ODPs, splitters, FATs, closures, poles, and related infrastructure.
• Perform backbone and distribution fiber cable deployment activities.
• Conduct field surveys and route assessments for network expansion projects.
• Troubleshoot and repair fiber optic network disruptions to maintain service continuity.
• Monitor network quality and recommend improvements where necessary.Support homepass expansion initiatives to increase network coverage.
• Coordinate with infrastructure vendors and partners (e.g., IFORTE, Asianet, and other contractors) to ensure project execution and maintenance activities are completed effectively.
• Ensure installation and maintenance activities meet the company's Service Level Agreement (SLA) targets and operational standards.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Telecommunications Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in FTTH installation, fiber optic infrastructure, or telecommunications network operations.
• Strong understanding of fiber optic networks and FTTH infrastructure.
• Hands-on experience in internet/WiFi installation and fiber optic network maintenance.
• Proficient in configuring modems, ONTs, routers, and activating internet/IPTV services.
• Knowledge of network infrastructure components, including ODPs, splitters, FATs, closures, poles, and related equipment.
• Familiar with fiber optic backbone and distribution network architecture.
• Strong troubleshooting skills for internet connectivity and fiber optic network issues.
• Ability to perform network testing, quality monitoring, and basic diagnostic activities.
• Experience conducting site surveys and planning cable routes.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with customers, vendors, and internal stakeholders.
• Able to work independently as well as collaboratively within field operations teams.
• Willing to work in a mobile, field-based environment and meet operational targets.
• Strong commitment to safety, service excellence, and achieving installation and maintenance SLAs.
