Role Purpose

The Head of Planning & Policy Rural is responsible for researching, developing, and implementing policies and plans that promote sustainable rural development. This role involves collaboration with local government, community organizations, and stakeholders to ensure effective land use, resource management, and community engagement.

 

Area of Responsibilities

  • Research & Analysis

Conduct research on rural issues, including economic development, land use, housing, infrastructure, and environmental sustainability. SDP Acquisition and Retention Improvement Initiatives, Manpower needs

  • Policy Development

Develop and recommend policies and strategies that address rural development needs.

Rural Partner Policy & Norm, Playbook SDP, Manpower Guidance DSE & CSE

  • Community Engagement

Facilitate stakeholder meetings and public forums to gather input from partners.

  • Program Implementation

Assist in the implementation of rural development programs and evaluate their effectiveness.

SDP Service Level Agreement

  • Budget & P&L Monitoring

Responsible for tracking partner’s income and expenditures to ensure that financial goals are met and resources are used efficiently

  • Collaboration

Work with local, state, and federal agencies, as well as non-profit organizations, to align policies with circle goals.

  • Reporting

Prepare reports and presentations for various stakeholders, including government officials and community groups.

  • Relationship Management

Build and maintain strong relationships with key partners and stakeholders, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.

 

 

Qualification:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Operations, or related field (MBA or advanced degree preferred).
  • 5+ years of experience in distribution, sales, or supply chain management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role. Experience in telecom or FMCG sectors preferred.
  • Project Management: Experience leading large-scale projects, particularly those related to logistics, distribution, and channel optimization.
  • Leadership: Proven leadership skills with a track record of managing large, cross-functional teams and driving transformational change in distribution or supply chain operations.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical abilities to interpret market data, sales reports, and operational metrics to make informed strategic decisions.
  • Results-Oriented: Focused on achieving tangible outcomes and meeting distribution and sales targets.
