HBB Platform Engineer

Location:

ID

Level:  Managerial
Employment Status:  Permanent
Department:  Group Digital Commercial
Description:

Role Brief

HBB Platform Engineer with strong expertise in IT platforms, system integration, and HBB service (FTTH and FWA) enablement to define, build, and operate scalable broadband platforms. You will provide technical leadership and architectural direction while remaining deeply involved in implementation, automation, reliability, and platform evolution. This role partners closely with network, OSS/BSS, SRE, security, and product teams.

Core Responsibilities

  • Own the end-to-end architecture and technical roadmap for HBB IT platforms supporting service provisioning, activation, and assurance.

  • Provide hands-on leadership in designing and building backend services, APIs, and integration layers connecting OSS/BSS, CRM, inventory, and network controllers.

  • Lead the design and implementation of TIBCO-based integration solutions (ESB, messaging, orchestration) for FTTH service workflows.

  • Define and enforce engineering standards for CI/CD, automation, testing, security, and operational readiness across HBB platforms.

  • Oversee automated service fulfillment workflows (order capture to activation and decommissioning) with high reliability and scalability.

  • Guide cloud-native platform operations including containerized workloads, capacity planning, scaling strategies, and environment standardization.

  • Establish observability standards (metrics, logs, traces, SLOs) and lead incident response, root cause analysis, and post-incident improvements.

  • Drive platform performance optimization, availability targets, and cost efficiency through continuous measurement and tuning.

  • Conduct architecture reviews and influence cross-team technical decisions.

Required Qualifications

  • Strong hands-on software engineering background in Java/Kotlin, Python, Go, or Node.js, with solid testing and design practices.

  • Mandatory hands-on experience with TIBCO (BusinessWorks, EMS, or equivalent) for system integration, orchestration, and messaging.

  • Proven experience leading IT platforms supporting HBB services (provisioning, assurance, inventory, order management).

  • Extensive experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) including architecture, IAM, networking, and managed services.

  • Production experience operating containerized platforms using Docker and Kubernetes.

  • Strong CI/CD expertise using GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, or Azure DevOps, including release governance and environment promotion.

  • Deep experience with observability platforms (Prometheus/Grafana, OpenTelemetry, ELK/EFK, Datadog, or New Relic).

  • Proven ability to lead incident response for mission-critical platforms.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience modernizing or migrating legacy ESB / integration platforms into cloud-native or hybrid architectures.

  • Strong understanding of telecom OSS/BSS domains and HBB service lifecycle workflows.

  • Experience with event-driven architectures and messaging platforms (Kafka, Pub/Sub, RabbitMQ).

  • Familiarity with SRE practices such as SLOs, error budgets, and reliability governance.

  • Experience leading multi-vendor or multi-system integration programs in large enterprise environments.
