Job Summary
As a member of the Cloud Infrastructure-As-A-Service (IAAS) team, this role is responsible for designing, developing, and implementing robust cloud infrastructure solutions to support a variety of applications, platforms, and user offerings. The main purpose of the position is to ensure the seamless delivery and ongoing optimization of large-scale virtual infrastructure environments that meet end users’ evolving needs. Key areas of focus include determining infrastructure specifications, building scalable and secure solutions, and leveraging specialized tools and technologies across multiple cloud platforms. The role requires hands-on expertise in virtualization, server, and network technologies to deliver high-performance and reliable cloud services. Additionally, the position is accountable for testing and maintaining infrastructure to ensure security, scalability, and operational excellence.
Job Description
- Requirements Gathering and Infrastructure Planning, Oversee the requirements gathering process, ensure all infrastructure specifications align with business objectives, and review and approve final documentation for cloud solutions.
- Solution Architecture and Design, Approve cloud infrastructure architecture designs, ensure compliance with business and technical standards, and provide oversight throughout the design process.
- Cloud Infrastructure Development and Provisioning, Oversee and ensure timely and effective deployment of cloud infrastructure, resolve escalated issues, and approve completion of provisioning activities.
- Integration and Implementation, Oversee the entire cloud infrastructure integration process, resolve high-level technical and operational issues, and ensure successful implementation across platforms.
- Testing and Quality Assurance, Oversee adherence to QA processes, verify that testing results align with required standards, and approve infrastructure readiness for deployment.
- Monitoring, Maintenance, and Optimization, Ensure operational excellence by overseeing maintenance schedules, supervising monitoring activities, and addressing escalated infrastructure issues.
- Continuous Improvement and Documentation, Drive and oversee continuous infrastructure improvement initiatives, approve proposed changes, and ensure adherence to documentation standards.
Qualification:
- Minimum 10+ years of hands-on experience in designing, deploying, and managing large-scale cloud infrastructure solutions (IaaS, PaaS) across multi-cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP, VMware).
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cloud Computing, or a related field.
- Relevant cloud certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Google Professional Cloud Architect, VMware Certified Professional) are highly preferred.
- Proven expertise in Cloud architecture design (scalable, secure, high-availability solutions); Virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V, Kubernetes); Infrastructure automation & orchestration (Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation); Networking & security (VPC, VPN, firewalls, IAM, compliance frameworks); CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices (Git, Jenkins, Docker).
- Strong background in System integration, performance tuning, and disaster recovery planning; Monitoring & observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, CloudWatch).
- Leadership experience in guiding cross-functional teams, resolving technical escalations, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
- Experience in hybrid cloud/multi-cloud strategy and legacy system modernization; Knowledge of FinOps principles for cost-optimized cloud operations.
- Prior work in regulated industries (finance, healthcare, government) with compliance requirements (GDPR, HIPAA, FedRAMP).
