Job Purpose:

Lead the development and execution of market intelligence, network expansion strategy, and profitability governance for the HBB business. The role ensures all expansion and commercial decisions are data-driven, financially sound, and aligned with company growth and profitability targets.

 

Key Responsibilities:

1. Market Intelligence & Strategic Insight

  • Establish and lead a comprehensive market intelligence framework, covering competitor pricing, products, promotions, and channel strategies.
  • Translate market dynamics into actionable strategic recommendations for senior stakeholders.
  • Provide forward-looking insights to support commercial and strategic decision-making.

2. Network Expansion Strategy (RFS Planning)

  • Develop and institutionalize a robust desktop planning methodology to identify and prioritize home-passes for RFS.
  • Ensure all expansion initiatives are guided by clear financial metrics (e.g., ROI, IRR, payback period).
  • Validate expansion plans against market demand, competitive intensity, and commercial feasibility.

3. Commercial Strategy & Optimization

  • Identify opportunities to optimize existing commercial models and improve cost efficiency.
  • Act as a gatekeeper for commercial decisions related to new RFS initiatives.

4. Profitability Governance & Partner Management

  • Develop and implement a standardized profitability framework across partners, clusters, and cohorts.
  • Monitor and evaluate financial performance, ensuring alignment with company targets.
  • Provide recommendations on partner optimization, renegotiation, or termination based on performance.

5. Penetration & Performance Optimization

  • Identify low-penetration areas and lead cross-functional initiatives to improve take-up rates.
  • Collaborate with Sales and Marketing teams to implement targeted interventions and campaigns.
  • Drive a performance-oriented culture focused on both growth and monetization.

6. Governance, Reporting & Capability Building

  • Establish and maintain planning tools, dashboards, and reporting frameworks.
  • Lead regular performance reviews and ensure data accuracy and consistency.

 

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Engineering, or related field (MBA preferred).
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in telecom, strategy, or commercial planning roles.
  • Strong experience in market analysis, financial modeling, and strategic planning.
  • Proven leadership experience with ability to influence senior stakeholders.
