AVP-Head of Development - Sales Application

Role Purpose

The Development Lead - Sales Platform is responsible for leading the end-to-end design, development, and delivery of scalable, high-performing technology solutions that power the sales platform. This role ensures the platform meets business needs by translating requirements into robust technical architectures, overseeing agile development teams, and integrating digital capabilities that enhance the sales customer and partner experience. The AVP collaborates closely with product owners, architects, and cross-functional stakeholders to drive innovation, maintain code quality, and ensure timely delivery of platform features that support business growth and operational efficiency.

Job Description

Software Development & Delivery Leadership

• Lead and manage agile development teams delivering retail platform features
• Oversee the full software development lifecycle (planning, coding, testing, deployment)

Product & Business Alignment

• Work closely with business users to understand feature requirements and business goals
• Translate business needs into clear technical solutions and implementation plans
• Prioritize technical deliverables to balance speed, quality, and value

Platform Modernization & Innovation

• Drive modernization initiatives such as microservices, API-first design, and cloud-native solutions
• Explore and incorporate emerging technologies (e.g., AI/ML, personalization, real-time analytics)
• Promote continuous improvement through innovation and technical excellence

Qualification

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology or equivalent field.
• Minimum 8 years of experience working in delivering digital solutions, especially on mobile and web-based applications.
• Deep knowledge on system integration using common communication method such as SOAP and JSON
• Knowledge and able to work with Agile Approach
• Team player on project-based delivery
• Have proven experience in delivering digital projects, consists of mobile and web-based application.
• Understanding of security principles integrating single page apps, mobile apps, and third-party systems using OAuth2, SSO, JWT.
• Understanding of Microservices architecture and patterns, micro gateway, docker, Kubernetes fundamental.
• Experience in software development management lifecycle with Agile or Scrum.
• Experience developing APIs to be consumed by mobile app and or external partners.
• Experience Cassandra, MongoDB / MySQL / PostgreSQL, SQL Server, and Oracle DB.
• Deep understanding on one of the programming language either Java, Go, Phyton, NodeJS, Android, Objective-C or Swift
• Have a deep understanding of mobile application/ web development including API system integration, application/ web programming, database design, containerization and platform design
• Solid understanding of API Products, Apps, Analytics.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills and capabilities
• Target oriented problem-solving approach and decision-making capabilities.
• Certified in Agile Methodology, and Devops is preferable 

Experience:

• Minimum 5 years' hands-on experiences solutioning, architecting and delivering mobile app and website products.

• Product Development, Product management capability, especially on telecommunication industry

• Preferably had various assignments in different functions in Marketing or having experience in working in highly dynamic companies
• Deep understanding of the telecommunication and competitive landscape in Indonesia

• Highly experienced in leading cross functional teams
