Role Purpose

The AVP-Head of Credit Control Assurance position is accountable for the entire credit sales assessment process, including the consistent application of a credit policy, periodic credit reviews of existing customers, and the assessment of the creditworthiness of potential customers, with the goal of optimizing the mix of company sales and bad debt losses.

 

Minimum Requirements

 

Qualification:

  • Minimum Bachelor degree from reputable university, preferably with finance/management/ accounting background (Master’s degree desired/preferred but not required)

 

Experience:

  • 5+ years of experience in Credit Control & Collection management
  • Solid experience in Credit Assessment and Risk Management practices
  • Solid experience in business operation support best practices and implementation both technical and financial
  • Solid experience in business process operation and system
  • Proven experience in developing regulatory credit control, collection and Bad Debt recovery especially in B2B segment.
  • Solid experience in business process operation and system

 

Skills:

  • Having comprehensive knowledge of business operation support concepts and implementation
  • Having comprehensive knowledge of Collection and Bad Debt recovery concepts and implementation
  • Strong best practice understanding in the field of business system platform, finance and compliance in order to enhance revenue and productivity of products and services.

Responsibility

 

1. B2B Credit Assessment Process

  • Evaluating B2B Customers’ creditworthiness to mitigate the risk during customer onboarding process. Creating and updating credit scoring models.
  • Making comprehensive assessment to credit risk level for credit sales submission by research and evaluate B2B Customers’ creditworthiness.
  • Review and approve Credit Assessment result of credit sales submission to be submitted to VP for approval process.
  • Approve or reject credit sales requests, based on credibility and potential revenues and losses.
  • Maintain records of credit sales applications and submit verification report to VP and/or other department.
  • Ensuring all credit sales submission procedures comply with company regulations and external regulations.
  • Understanding corporate legal document.
  • Understanding bank guarantee and its procedures.
  • Develop, review and update our company’s credit policies. Making coordination with collection department related to monitoring and updating black list customers due to bad debt payment.

 

2. Team Management

  • Develop and mentor team member(s) to achieve divisional objectives
  • Monitor and evaluate the performance of staff, make recommendations to supervisor and implement actions, such as promotions and dismissals
  • Provide feedback to VP to work with HR team to create the succession plan for the function/ organization and attract, motivate and retain top talent to ensure alignment with the plan In order to ensure talents are attracted, retained developed to meet organizational needs.

3. External Relation

  • Serve as a company representative for external related functions In order to build good network in the industry.
  • He/she will have strong coordination with high level management of Customer’s organization.
