Job Summary

The AVP - Forensic & Investigation is responsible for leading end‑to‑end fraud and misconduct investigations, from case intake to closure, including follow‑up actions and remediation. The role also supports internal audit and regular audit activities, ensuring strong governance, effective controls, and regulatory compliance across the organization.

 

Key Responsibilities

Investigation & Fraud Management

  • Manage and oversee suspected fraud, misconduct, and policy‑breach cases involving employees, vendors, and third parties.
  • Review and assess incoming complaints or allegations and determine investigation scope and priority.
  • Lead evidence collection, interviews, and fact‑finding activities.
  • Ensure proper documentation, confidentiality, and compliance with legal requirements.
  • Prepare clear investigation reports with findings, conclusions, and recommendations.

 

End‑to‑End Case Ownership & Follow‑Up

  • Own investigation cases from start to finish, including tracking post‑investigation actions.
  • Coordinate with HR, Legal, Compliance, and Business teams for disciplinary actions, recovery, and control improvements.
  • Monitor and confirm closure of corrective and preventive actions.

Audit Support & Control Improvement

  • Perform or support internal audits, special audits, and regular audits, particularly in high‑risk areas.
  • Identify control gaps and process weaknesses revealed through investigations or audits.
  • Recommend practical improvements to policies, processes, and internal controls.

Stakeholder & External Coordination

  • Act as a key point of contact for respective cases.
  • Liaise with external auditors, regulators, or law enforcement agencies when required.
  • Support legal proceedings by providing documentation or expert input, including testimony if needed.

Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Law, or related field.
  • Professional certifications are a plus (e.g. CFE, CIA, CPA, CA).

Experience

  • 10+ years of experience in fraud investigation, internal audit, compliance, or risk management.
  • Proven experience handling investigations end to end, including post‑investigation follow‑up.
  • Exposure to internal audit or regular audit activities.
  • Experience working with senior stakeholders and sensitive cases.
