AVP FTTH Core and Network Fabric Planning, is responsible for the strategic and tactical planning of the fiber-to-the-home (FTTH) core and network fabric infrastructure. This role involves strategic planning, vendor management, and technical leadership to ensure network scalability, reliability, and efficiency. The AVP will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, operations, and sales, to develop and implement future-proof network solutions that align with business objectives. This position requires a strong blend of technical expertise, leadership, and business acumen to drive network modernization, manage vendor relationships, and ensure cost-effective deployment. The AVP will lead cross-functional teams, collaborate with key stakeholders, and align network strategies with long-term business objectives.
Qualification:
- Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 7-10 years of relevant experience in the telecommunications industry or with a leading technology vendor, managing IP networks, including BNG, AAA, PCRF, FTTH, data center switching fabric, and network planning, design, implementation, and operations
- Experience in multi-vendor network environments such as Nokia, Huawei, Ericsson, etc
- Proven track record in large-scale IP network planning and switching architecture design
- Proven experience in IP network datacenter switching including IP fabric, broadband network design and management: Including L2/L3 switching, routing protocols (BGP including overlay underlay concept, OSPF etc),PPPoE, IPoE ,VLANs.SRv6, Radius,SDN, diameter etc
- Strong vendor management and negotiation skills
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills in a high-pressure environment
- Proficiency in network design and planning tools.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Understanding of procurement processes: RFPs, RFQs, and contract management
- Knowledge of industry trends and emerging technologies: SDN, NFV, cloud networking, and 5G.
- Certifications: Industry-recognized certifications such as: CCNP (Cisco Certified Network Professional) or CCIE (Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert) is preferable
- Strong communication ,interpersonal , and leadership skills
